Charles Mercier's picture

Paris water reflections

Along Canal St. Martin taken within a half hour period.

(Due to popular demand, I upside downed the first four and added them at the end.]

(Most of these photos of my European trip were taken due to this discussion group!)

Thanks for posting he results of your trip Charles. I really like the abstract nature of 3, 5 & 6.

I do think that those with buildings (especially) may offer something different if rotated 180 degrees.

Thanks. People can look or hang my photos anyway they want...but as I know how they were taken, I can't! lol But I can see the surreal quality of turning them "upside down".

I have to admit that I'm also not really attracted to the 'upside down' buildings in the reflections, but they become really nice (surreal) when rotated imho !

Says the guy with the upside down profile pic??? :-O

I added the first 4 to the end upside down.

LOL, now you got me :-D

I still think they work better like that.

These are really nicely composed, Charles; and wonderful to just stop a moment to admire. I have to admit, some of them turned 180 degrees does create a whole other conceptualization though.

Since all of you asked, I upside downed the first 4 - added at the end. I think the last two are too abstract.

Wow, gorgeous! I love the change. You're right about the last two not needing it. Great job!

Thanks as always!
