With so much discussion about the importance of having the right gear I think it’s also important to share times when the gear doesn’t matter. Or when it does matter but you have no choice but to shoot with what you have.
I don’t live in the area of this Frank Gehry building (The Cleveland Clinic - Las Vegas) but I’ve wanted to shoot it for a long time. Unfortunately when I finally got my chance I didn’t have my architectural bag with me — only a Sony a6400 with a kit lens. Worse, it was midday with horrible specular highlights and I had no tripod for brackets.
But with the right attitude that's when it starts to get fun.
