Honest Feedback

Hey guys, here are a few of my favorite macro photos that I have done. They are taken with an 18-55 kit lens with a 10x attachment on it. I know some are probably a bit over saturated but I would like some honest opinions. With some I used a ring light.

Nice macro work. A bit over saturated? Just a thought. :-)

Yeah, Is there a scale to tell when something is over saturated?

Just personal tastes I guess. I like it most of time, just on occasion it hits me as being too much.

Some awesome shots. Getting a lot out of the kit lens. My only feed back would be some of your settings. On all your photos your aperture is wide open. Don't be afraid to turn up your ISO so you can get a higher depth of field. I would suggest getting a ring flash as well. You can pick up a neewer one on Ebay for pretty cheap. With that you'll be able to almost max out your lens' aperture and still have plenty of light left over.

Thanks for the great advice. The last photo of the spider, I was using a ring light. For most of the photos, I didn't have one at the time.
