I'd like to share with you my weekend shots, they were taken in Sirmione, a city on the Lake Garda, in Italy. I discovered the municipality launched a photographic competition with two themes: Sirmione and Lake Garda.
The weather was mostly cloudy, so I took my camera with me and tried to get some nice shots, but realized that probably there was some dust on the ND filters which caused the artifacts visible in some of the landscape oriented pictures. I think in some cases they could actually make the picture nicer, because they add some interest in the blurred water.
My favourite shot is #2, followed by #5.
Please feel free to provide any critics, I appreciate them.
Two and three work for me, I think the location stands out more with colour. It feels a bit tonally flat in mono, using the pier/jetty for leading lines is aesthetically pleasing. I may have centred three to lose the object on the right. One thing I thought, did you need to use LEP for these shots? The smooth surface in two makes me think it may have helped but I may have liked it just as well as a normal landscape,
Thanks for the feedback. I honestly have no idea what LEP means. Can you please explain?
Yes, I was just cutting down on the words Long Exposure Photography.
oh.... if that means Long Exposure, then yes, all pictures here were taken with either 10 or 16 stops ND filters
