I wanted to merge the geometric pattern of a modern architecture with the fantasy of the lightpainting. I wanted to do black and white to highlight the contrast of the shapes and the light.
Nikon D500, 30 sec exposure. Well pleased with detail in the building when zooming in.
I took this at Torrey Pines beach in San Diego. 60 second exposure, Canon 60D, Tokina 11-16.
I was trying to capture San Francisco's energy by twisting the lens while my Fuji XT2 was exposing the shot.
Since I still don't have a ND for the TS-E 17mm, I stacked 150 shots to simulate a long exposure.

Hi all, New to Fstoppers and the group so here is my first real long exposure shot taken from the roof of a car park in Los Angeles.
Had to balance the camera on the wall and hope it did not move for the 25 second exposure

Hi everyone! I'm new to Fstoppers but I'm excited to get involved and get some feedback. I took this photo a couple of months ago and it was really my first attempt at long exposure. Any constructive feedback or tips in general are much appreciated.
Tips shared by Serge Ramelli.
1. Shoot without using an ND filter after sunset. ND filters alter the color of your photos and when you already have nice colors you don't want that :-)
2. A 25 second exposure time is a good time to have nice water and clouds and this can be achieved without a remote.
