I'm new to this group and Fstoppers in general. There is some absolutely amazing work on this site! There are too many things in this world that I love to shoot so I can't describe myself as a specialist in any one subject and this particular photo is from a series of corporate headshots I made for one of my eCommerce clients. I used a PCB Einstein in a Silver Beauty Dish with a diffuser as my main light and filled in shadows from below with a bounce card, the light blue background is lit with a a second Einstein with a 30-degree grid for the gradient. As always I would appreciate any creative feedback.
Great photo!! Love it!
I am sure she loves it. And why wouldn't she. It is very nice. She looks lovely, friendly, happy, positive, bright and approachable. All good, especially in a corporate headshot.
Technically you nailed it in pretty much every way. I would have had the highlights on her face a tad less bright but appart from that, perfect.
Lovely work. Only improvements I'd look at is toning down the highlights as it's quite bright.
Did you do much retouching to this?
Thanks Wayne. You know it's funny when you stare at a photo long enough your eyes just get adjusted to it, so at first I thought the HL might be a little hot but by the time I got passed correcting some other things I guess I just got used to them.
As for the retouching I went through my usual steps: Blemish cleanup, Flyaway control, Local DB followed by FS and then some overall eye cleanup. Overall though she had done such a nice job with her hair and makeup and was so camera friendly that I didn't spend a ton of time on it.
Thanks for your feedback.
