Headshots in my "ghetto" studio.

I'm not really a "headshot" photographer because I'm more comfortable in some cattle pasture than a studio, but I offered a few mini sessions to try and help pay off some dental work. I'd appreciate any helpful critique.

I think the bottom shot is the strongest all around, and you don't need to be in a studio to shoot headshots!! The composition, combined with the leaning forward of his posture and expression are great, nice relaxed, confident feel, you could crop just a bit more off the top to just above his hair, but thats just nitpick...the top is also good, but personally my tastes generally don't like centered compositions unless the image is really dynamic and the expression it very strong. The top also feels just a bit washed out, a little more chine down, a little slight framing to camera right, and a little more angle in the shoulders would have taken it up a notch, but I'm sure you have other options from the session as well. The bottom image just takes the cake for me....nicely done!!
