There's no standard for a headshot except for having the head (face, most of the times) in the frame.
Everything else is a matter of personal taste. As I don't know your taste and your goal I'd comment the image as a portrait.
Retouching of the photograph has to be retouching of the whole photograph not only the face. Now the face seems overretouched (to my taste) and the rest of the photograph is not touched. If you aim for a perfect face you have to aim for a perfect hair, perfect clothing, perfect body skin. Now it's a perfect face, normal body skin and a few spots in the hair which are messy.
Try to avoid whitening of the eyes so that they're much whiter than the normal white color of the eyes. The eyes are not pure whtie but grey-ish. They are also spheres which means they have a different shade of white/grey all over their area.
Looks like you were at a slightly lower ange and aiming upward toward the model. For headshots you want to be at the same angle or above the model and aiming your lens downward toward the model. This will make the persons face look slimmer, bring out cheekbones and get those eyes to pop.
