Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5.
NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.
Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.
Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!
My two favourite images from my recent night time adventure in Tenerife. Foregrounds and skies were shot separately and blended in PS.
Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
I thought I would try out my 50 year old lenses: Canon FD 50mm f/1.5 SSC and Canon FD 28mm f/2.8 on my Canon R5 with the use of the appropriate adapter.

2nd image is stronger. Agree with Jerry regarding that hot spot. But that shadow under the chin is OK for my taste. Solid shots. Congrats
The skin tones of the second shot seem really cold and lifeless compared to the 'bronzed-beauty' in the first shot. Also agree with what the others have said regarding lighting and backgrounds etc. I'm okay with the shadow under the chin of the second shot. Though you couldn't get away with that for a female client.
Good attempt. I'm personally not a fan of the green type cinematic headshots, even though I do have one sorta on my headshot portfolio (but plan to remove it as I grow more cinematic headshots). Side from that, they look fine. Not sure which aperture it was shot at but it looks like it was shot at 2.8, which I did to mine at first too, to get a creamier background but it was overly soft on the facial features so bumping to 3.2 or even f/4 would be better? Try it out. The highlights for me and my taste is a bit bland, lacking that punch/contrast. Don't forget the bra strap, I know I forget this too and heck the entire shoot may even have it so I end up hating myself afterwards just try hard to keep the extra eye open for these minor production details that could cause major post production problems.
