I would like to hear what you think about this scenic landscape photo from Lake Tekapo, New Zealand.
The photo is a couple of years old, I found it the other day and took it through LR and PS to tune it a bit.
I really like this shot, amazing cloud formations and I love the way the lines follow the lines of the mountains. If there was anything I would have liked to see more it would be just a little more depth to the blacks in the rocks.
Great work
Thank you so much Rob!
I would love to share a version with more depth but I'm afraid I don't have this. It's taken with a 70-200mm lens from the opposite shore of the Mountains.
I was talking depth of dynamic range, basically darkening the blacks and shadows in the mountain, but without loosing the lovely tone you have in the snow.
Sorry! I misunderstood you Rob.
I have actually already darkend the blacks and shadows using the dodge and burn technique in PS. Maybe I should enchance it so it's a bit stronger? :)
Works very well to me! The light on the mountains is beautiful! Maybe a bit heavy on the left side. I'd actually to lighten up the foreground mountain.

this looks like it could be an amazing black and white
I have not thought about this, thanks! I'll check it out how it looks in BW.
Loving this. Simple and strong is my jam.
Thank you so much Ryan!
Would it fit in on Fstoppers Instagram page?
