Aurora forecast

That night the forecast was "Northern light not visible". I decided to take the car and try anyway to catch it because the sky was so clear and cloud free. I think it was definitely worth it. What do you think?

Looks great, I still have to catch some of these compositions with the mountains and the Aurora :-) I'm going back to Lofoten during March, only 4 days though.
You could pop the light/color of the aurora a bit. It's a bit flat :-)

Ok Mikkel thak you, I will try. This lake not too far from Svolvaer is incredibly quiet and the reflection is fantastic. I will be again in Iceland in March for 4 days as well, and in Lofoten in May, the end, to see midnight sun. I love these places

You're welcome buddy! Thanks for the location, I'll keep it in mind when I'm out during the night.
Sounds wonderful, I wish I could afford to go to Iceland again :-)

Yeah, I visited Iceland in summer and Lofoten in winter, now let's invert!! :D
Anyway, to be more precise, the lake is along the E10, going from Svolvaer to Hammerstad Camping. (Coordinates 68.262102, 14.657162 more or less)

Thanks for the specific coordinates! I'll arrive during the evening, so it could be the perfect spot on the way to Hamnoy. Crossing fingers for the Aurora ;-)

Yes it is, Eliasson Robuer? Which number? :)

Not this time, I think I stayed in number 8 last time. Can't remember. This time it's AirBnb. One of the white houses just when you exit the tunnel to Hamnøy.

Very nice
