Hi, just making my Hellos as a new member and looking forward to seeing more of Fstoppers. Found an article that drew me in so hopefully will be learning lots more as I get to know my way around here. Thank you for having me. Here are a couple of pictures I have taken as I practice what I have learnt so far from an online course, articles, advice and general research.
Hi Michelle,
Welcome to fstoppers.
Elan
welcome to the site!
Thank you.
Hi Michelle,
Just a quick few words regarding your image. I have done quite a bit landscape and macro photography myself and I hope this info is useful. Generally speaking, with landscape photography, I always aim to set my camera up to take really sharp images, from front to back without compromise.
Macro photography on the other hand, super sharp image with blurring is normal. I would also aim to crop out the excess and just focus on the main subject. The small branch at the top and at the bottom of your image can be cropped off and bring the image tighter all round.
I enjoy looking at tree lined photos and bees, but in my humble opinion, the watermark could be a little less intrusive. Have a browse through all the other images on site.
Best wishes and enjoy.
Elan
I took your comments on board, and hopefully this new image is an improvement. Thank you for your advice.
If you can spare some free time, look up Karl Taylor online and register. Most recent email from him focus on light sources and how best to maximise them to our advantage.
