I would love some CC on this image. I couldn't change the angle/composition as there was a tree fern behind me.. The only post processing was to lighten the shadows in the middle of tree, darken the background/sky and replace a bright spot in the background - and some tweaking with radial filter and sliders in LR.
I love the light on the moss of your tree. The thing on the right, though... distracting for me, like another tree photo bombed your shot. Overall... a fine edit. Works for me. :)
Thanks - yes I agree - I may have to revisit and try again - or get better at photoshop :-)
It is great shot, very rich in detail!
CC: I have a feeling that there are three things competing for my attention - the bright fern on a tree (I see first), then goes the fern leaf in the lower right corner in a shadow; lastly, a very dark palm tree in the top right (noted by Cathleen).
If you have enough megapixels your actual photo, you could crop to keep just the moss on a tree and a fern leaf. The viewer loses sense of expanse of the forest but those two become more highlighted. I did a quick crop/edit to illustrate my thought
