Hi all, planning a tour to Zagori in Greece for some landscape photography in beginning of november. Hope the fall colours is still there then:) Anyone been there before so its possible to get some tip for the travel?? Attached shot i from a beach I found here in Cyprus earlier this week!
Unique - love it
Zagori is awesome, granted that you'll be able to hike up to the nice points, have plenty of time in your hands, and a car to move around.
You lost one place, the Theogefyro which collapsed a few months back sadly.
In November most of the times you won't be able to go to the Dragonlakes due to heavy snow.
Check with the local guides, you might be lucky.
However the best period for those is April-May and very early June.
There's plenty of natural landscape in the region ( Epirus ), most of it, a hidden gem, knowledge of nobody, nothing's "mapped", you must go out and look for your scene.
You can see some places of Zagori in my gallery here on Fstoppers and you can also see more stuff and info about it and many other places in Greece on my photography tours website ( it's linked in my profile here )
Thanks Bill! I will mainly go there for the fall colours and shoot the bridges. Also I plan to pass by Meteora again. Been there once before but Zagori region i came over by coincidence on a Youtube video. Yes cant wait to get there to have a look, the landscape is so beautiful. Love Greece for the varsity of the landscape and nature there. Thank you for your tips, I have already checked out your beautiful gallery and there i some of the places there i definitely will try to find:)
