Sea to Sky

I spend the weekend in Whistler Canada. The Conditions were not very good at all. All the hiking trails on the mountain were closed due to snow and visibility was very poor. But the drive back had plenty of drama to make up for it. This is the view from a boat launch at a park a few miles south of Squamish.

Nice, lots of atmosphere as they say! Would love to see as BW also.

Thanks! I tried it in black and white, but I felt that because the light levels were actually quite similar throughout it wound up being a little less dramatic and somehow like it could have been anywhere. Additionally, the colour of the post-storm water reminded me of this painting of the same area.

Thanks for posting. It does have a painterly feel to it. I like it that you heven't over processed it.

The contrast of colors between sea and sky is very impressive and unusual. Nice shoot
