We had a beautiful fall day here in Texas yesterday, so I spent my lunch break capturing yellow-rumped warblers.

Thanks Tim. Very nice. We have a little bird here in Australia that is very similar. The Yellow Rumped Thornmbill. Was a great lunch break for you.

I had heard birds outside the US (excluding Asia) were duller in color. Have you heard that?
Not really Tim. I have bird books from Europe and Africa and there is plent of colour there. Some places have more parrots than others but generally my observation is there is plenty of colour world wide. In Australia most female birds are dull with the males brighter. Colour only of course. They are all intelligent.
