Wandering at night in the High Fens in search of clear skies...
At first the plan was to go explore and shoot near a little pond that a fellow photographer had found on google maps. After about an hour struggling through the bushes and swamps we arrived at the pool. Due that it was late summer, the pool was almost dried up and not at all photogenic. Worth trying though, you never know what gem you might find during these explorations.
With no real plan B we decided to go to another place we were already familiar with. Hiking to our destination in the dark we came across this beautiful scene.

I really like the tasteful Milky Way and the the sky silhouetting the trees. There's a little too much of the dark foreground for me. I think that cropping the bottom half (give or take) of the portion below the horizon would be an improvement.
That sound like a good advice. Might consider it and make it a pano crop. Would definitely look good ;)
Just don't know if then you lose to much of the path with serves as quite a strong leading line now.
I don't know what to say... Amazing photo! Composition, colors - everything is fine! May be too much glow effect at the center? But anyway looks perfect!
