Northern Lights in North Carolina

I wish I would've known about this a little bit sooner so I could have scouted a cool location. Honestly, I had forgotten about the possibility of seeing the aurora. I started seeing a ton of cell phone photos pop up on my socials so I decided to set my camera up on my back porch and see what happened. The composition isn't great admittedly but it's all I had to work with in my backyard. It is what it is. It's still pretty cool have a Northern Lights shot taken from my home in Durham, North Carolina. I also made a time lapse which you can view on my socials if you are interested, @kyleforemanphoto. It actually turned out pretty cool.

A Very Challenging Photo

Sometimes a bit of luck is all you need.

When/Where: On August 7, 2026 at the Abbotsford International Airshow during the Friday afternoon/evening Twilight Show.

Tiny Visitor

I was recently back in the woods trying to take some wildlife photos. Sadly, I barely came across any birds that day and whenever I did, they were gone before I could even focus on them.
