After a long wait, the sun calmed down and shone for a few minutes. The photo was taken in golden hour in Saxon Switzerland, Germany.

The photo was taken in Ramsau, Berchtesgaden, Germany. Every morning, several photographers gathered on the shore of the lake to capture the first rays of the sun.
One of the snapshots from my last outing to photograph waterfalls. A small excursion that counted on seeing plenty of water in this enclave, but unfortunately, the flow was not as expected.

Nature can change a drab city park into something magical. This series of images were taken one cold foggy morning that produced hoar frost.
Enjoying the rivers when it rains is one of my favorite things about photography! Exploring new places despite getting wet and cold.... Enjoying it!
A photo I took of Horseshoe Falls on a recent visit.
This is a shot I took last night from our backyard. I really love the mix of daylight and city lights.
In between family gatherings for the holiday, I was able to sneak out to Multnomah Falls on what was a rainy day in the city.
I made this picture in the mountains of southern Utah. I was walking up this dry creek bed exploring the canyon when I came upon this composition.

Got a drone for Christmas. Took it out to get some practice. It's surprisingly easier to fly than I thought it would be. This is one of favorites I got while flying around.
Took this shot of my hometown as we were outside watching in the New Year.
Any scene looks brilliant with sticky snow, ice, fog, and beautiful sunrise.
Aerial view of the Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier in Emerald Isle North Carolina. I got a drone for Christmas and this is one of the photos I got while getting some practice flying.

I photographed these as I was driving through the farmlands of Alberta last weekend, looking for good composition (no sunrise colors that day).
During my recent trip to Kauai, I spent what evenings I could trying to capture one of those legendary Hawaiian sunsets. The skies had, as unusual, their own plans.

My Canon R5 has a gazillion "Auto" features, but one. It cannot "Auto" matically go out and take Landscape photos.

I go back to this spot a least once a year in the fall. Every year is different.
My wife and I were celebrating our 5th anniversary and this was the last day of our vacation. We were at St. Regis Resort in Bora Bora watching the sun setting behind Mt.
I revisited this photo and cropped in a little tighter. It’s easier to see some of the stars then the original wider angle.

As a photographer, I'm always drawn to locations that offer a variety of perspectives and moods. One of my favorite spots is a seascape with an old ermitage nestled in the rocks near home.
