The Back of the Dragon, Southern Utah!
This has been sitting in my file for several years, and I wasn't making sense of it. At least not like I wanted to. I have hiked to this place several times, and the last time I was there I figured out a short cut that cut out a lot of distance and a lot of climbing, so it was more pleasant for me. When I got there this time there was a gaggle of picture takers camped out about a hundred feet up hill from the place. All of them had their butts planted on the sandstone gabbing about something - there were no cameras out. When I got my camera out and began setting up they started screaming at me. But hey, they were just sitting there, so I just set my camera up and did what I had planned on doing. I used a Toyota 45A camera, a 65mm Sinaron lens with a #61 dark green filter and Kodak T-Max 100 film.
I used to drive fairly close by this area every May for Mother's Day while my mother was living. This particular year it was a high temperature of 85 degrees Fahrenheit which is very pleasant for that area in Mid May.

This is gorgeous, Nathan. I love it. Everything feels just right. All the elements were made to order for you. Nice work.
Thank you.
It’s a shame these places are spoiled by fellow photographers.
The contrast and texture work really well in this Nathsn.
I think that a lot of the people doing the ruining aren't actual photographers... maybe picture takers. That's a reason I no longer divulge locations, unless they are very apparent. Thank you for your kind words.
