I think the single most important advice for mirrorless shooters is: turn off your camera before swapping lenses! The static charge of a fired up sensor attracts dust like a magnet attracts iron...
Regarding advice 2 - I'd say always make the image your priority - too many are too scared to damage their gear and will constantly be limited by that fear, if you need a different lens to get the shot by all means change it, and if you are in a sandstorm then just do it under the shirt you'r wearing - and if your get dust on your sensor then deal with it, learn how to clean it, its also not rocket science!
Regarding advice 6 - from someone who shoots mostly video at wide apertures and then sometimes does the odd real estate job at f11 - yes wide apertures are great to hide the dust, just remember you didn't clean your sensor for ages before you go out and shoot a mostly white room at f11 - if your member after it will be too late and your editor will want extra money!

Sensors are not statically charged when turned on. The glass in front of sensors is not statically charged. That's a completely false and ridiculous myth that really needs to die.

All valid and helpful but the article misses a huge point. Over processed skies like the one in the image shown show up spots where more subtle processing would leave them hidden. Back off those sliders and gradients.
