Whether it's capturing a close encounter with a great white, documenting an Eiger ascent or riding the dash of an F-16 the GoPro has been used for some pretty amazing things. Here is one recording I don't see any of us re-creating anytime soon though.
This summer, during Expedition 40, NASA astronauts Steve Swanson and Reid Wiseman and European Space Agency astronaut Alexander Gerst wanted to explore the phenomenon of water surface tension in microgravity on the International Space Station. And what better way to record the event than from the inside out? The astronauts formed a bubble of water, and here is the cool part, and then they slipped a GoPro into it. I know this doesn't have much in the way of photographic education or artistic merit but you should check this out for the creative cool factor alone. And if you have a pair of anaglyph 3D glasses on hand you can watch the 3D version here

I'd be scared of having a big bubble of water sticking around my face or something! I mean, I bet you could drown easily because the water wouldn't drip off!
You could quickly drink the water to avoid drowning
Yeah... And I'd avoid playing with big quantities of water!
Where can I apply to be a cameraman in the space ? :D
