Sky replacement used to be a very tedious process, but recent advancements in software have automated some of the most difficult aspects. This excellent video tutorial will show you everything you need to know about sky replacement in three popular programs: Photoshop, Luminar AI, and Affinity Photo.
Coming to you from Serge Ramelli Photography, this great video tutorial will show you how to replace skies in Photoshop, Luminar AI, and Affinity Photo. Sky replacement can be a bit controversial depending on your personal philosophy, but beyond its creative potential, it can be an invaluable tool for anyone working in genres in which shooting again another day is either impractical or impossible, such as real estate or wedding photography. Personally, I do not have an issue with it, and I love how quickly we can create rough realizations now. Because the process used to be so tedious, I almost never did it, but now, if I have an inkling a sky replacement might improve a photo, I can test it out in just a few seconds, greatly expanding my creative palette. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Ramelli.
