For photographers and vloggers who travel and shoot on location, continuous lighting has always been a challenge, particularly when working outside in inclement weather. Harlowe has addressed this with its new Max Air 40W LED light, engineered for outdoor shooting.
It comes with a slim, detachable 54.72 Wh battery weighing just 0.78 lb, and with two USB-C ports, it doubles as a portable charger—powering your camera, smartphone, tablet, or laptop with Type-C PD fast charging. It’s IP65-rated.
The bi-color COB LED covers a 2700K–6500K range. It’s small, and with the battery attached, weighs just 2.13 lb. Both the light and battery connect with V-mount, and there’s a V-mount attached to the base as well. It comes with a quick-release 23˚ fixed-focus lens, delivering up to nine times the brightness of bare light—giving you the punch of bigger lights in a compact form. The light boasts one hour and 12 minutes of runtime at maximum brightness, two hours at 50% brightness, and up to five hours at 10% brightness.
The Max Air 40 can be controlled with the Harlowe app, allowing you to adjust essential settings and customize brightness and color from up to 65.6' away. The light is designed around a magnetic modular system that enables optional snap-on accessories, such as gels, domes, and barn doors, for more creative flexibility.
I love that you can pop this light into a small backpack, and it provides a lot of opportunities to light environmental portraits, vlogs, video interviews, and events. The Max Air 40 is designed to deliver high performance, true-to-life color, and maximum portability.
