Helpful Tips to Make You Work Faster in Lightroom

A lot of us spend a ton of time working in Lightroom, and anywhere we can increase our efficiency, even by just a little amount, can add up to big savings in the long run. This helpful video tutorial will show you a variety of ways to work more quickly in Lightroom and save a lot of time.

Coming to you from Anthony Morganti, this great video tutorial will show you a range of ways to make your workflow faster when working in Lightroom. Like Photoshop, there are often multiple ways to get any given task done in Photoshop, some more efficient than others. One thing that really sped up my workflow was taking the time to commit all the keyboard shortcuts to memory. Lightroom has about 100 shortcuts, and it can be a bit daunting to try to learn them all at first, but once you do, being able to just keep a single hand on the keyboard and another on the mouse makes you so much more efficient. If you ever forget them, simply press Command/Control and / simultaneously, and the program will show you every single shortcut. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Morganti.

I already knew most of these from watching many of Anthony's videos, but the one I didn't know and am delighted to know now is combining alt/opt with the vignette! I like precision and being able to see what I am doing is enormously helpful. It is vanishingly rare that I don't learn at least one new thing from a new Anthony video, and I recommend him often when I write on Quora.
