Experiencing the Berlin Olympic Stadium “in real” was a great experience.
The Olympiastadion Berlin is located in the Berlin district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf in Westend. It is part of the Olympic grounds (originally: Reichssportfeld) and was built from 1934 to 1936 for the Games of the XI Olympiad (August 1-16, 1936) with a capacity of 100,000 spectators at the time on the site of the German Stadium previously located there. Today, the Olympic Stadium is the home ground of the soccer club Hertha BSC, which is the main user of the stadium. It currently has 74,475 seats, 38,020 of which are in the lower ring and 36,455 in the upper ring. There is only seating, no standing room.
