Milky Way Over the Grand Canyon

After the sun retreats and the heat of the day quickly dissipates, the Milky Way slowly emerges as the sky turns inky black. The galactic core looms above the Grand Canyon, while the arch extends high into the sky. In the distance, the glowing lights of Flagstaff illuminate the horizon and accentuate Mt. Humphrey and the San Francisco Peaks.
