"Light and Shadows" continues from our recent San Francisco Photo Adventure, this time with the historic Robert Dollar Building. Built during the early part of the 20th century, it was the headquarters of the Dollar Steamship Company. The light and shadows is a bit of a departure from the previous images posted from this series, as the building was in complete shadow from the sunlight, but the featured exterior lamp was illuminating the ornate features seen. There is a bit of reflected light influencing the image still, as a touch of blue sky can be seen in the glass of the doors and against the lit fixture. I used Capture One 23 Pro to edit this image, I tried to minimize the sky reflection and emphasize the grand features inside and out. Do look closely to find the "$" symbol on the front.
