Phase One just acquired Mamiya Digital Imaging and took over their factory as well. This will strengthen the Danish company by making them the only medium format camera company that has full internal control of all critical components in a world class imaging system. 

Adobe just updated a couple of their CC applications, one of which being Photoshop. Amongst the new features, it was almost inevitable that a few bugs would show up. One that can be quite annoying is the liquify tool lighting or rendering problem. But there is a quick and easy workaround.

As announced at Adobe MAX 2015, Adobe released new updates to its professional Creative Cloud suite of applications. Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, InDesign CC, Premiere Pro CC, After Effects CC, Audition CC, Dreamweaver CC, Photoshop CC, Fuse CC (Preview), Adobe Stock, and more have been updated. You may have seen an article several days ago detailing a hack into the servers of the children's toy company VTech. The hack gave attackers access to personal data for over 5 million parents and over 200,000 children. Motherboard has just posted an update to their story revealing that the hacker was also able to download over 190 GB of photos uploaded from thousands of children's camera-equipped tablets.

How they can verify this is unclear (metadata and other types of data about the photo might give experts better hints), but the move is supposed to also help maintain ethical photojournalism practices by reducing one's ability to alter a photograph so much that it would change its meaning.

Priolite just announced the addition of a new flash unit to their HotSync lineup, the MBX300HS. Let me preface this article by stating that this is based on educated rumors. Late in September, the rumor mill was flying with speculation about Samsung shutting down its Digital Camera Division and the NX line in particular. This was sad news because many photographers throughout the industry have found that they really like the NX cameras and their price point values. Samsung officials responded stating that this was just a rumor and that the camera division was very much alive. Well, this week, several factors seem to be hinting to the contrary.
