Motley Crüe

For a recent family shoot, we decided to try something a little different. They wanted a 'crazy' family picture, so I got them to go a little overboard with their expressions and poses, knowing what I wanted to accomplish in my edit. All of the kids and grandkids are acting crazy while mom and dad are in the back kissing, loving their crazy family.
The setup was fairly straightforward, with just a single light directly in front and above the group, but set at a low enough power to mix with the ambient light. Major edits were done in Lightroom (exposure, contrast, curves, etc.) and then moved over to Photoshop for more specific edits to get the skin more illustrative and stylized.
The editing is very complimentary of the group and their expressions and poses, giving it a very unique look. I love how it came out; definitely one of my favorite family shots!
