Last fall I was given the chance to try out the new Skyport HS and Quadra HS head before it was released. Given my interest for portrait photography, I didn't want to go out and shoot sport or action.
But I also wanted to use this fancy gear for something different than what was in my portfolio. I've always loved working with ballet dancers. Their movements are always delicate and beautiful, even more so than most professional models!
I had the chance to stumble upon Jennifer profile as she was a Miss Switzerland contestant. She told me she used to dance and still had some very good rests! I had the place where we shot at in mind since I started photography. It's a sublime location with a breathtaking view over Geneva's lake.
Nothing was really planned per say, but I had this very picture in mind for years. I guess, sometimes, time is your best friend. You just have keep a sketch or a note of your ideas somehow somewhere :)

I think this is my favourite photo I've found on here.
