Another shot from 2015 playing around with natural light and leaving the strobes in my bag. Shooting more with natural light definitely helped me using my strobes in a more organic way. In 2014, I used to flash everything and anything, but was never really pleased with the results… now that I have a better understanding of natural light and how to use it in different scenarios, I can finally strobe without making it look too obvious.

Love your work, great inspiration to learn..... And the want to do it.

Thanks Llewellyn, it means a lot :)

Great picture and explanation. I am going the other way around. Last year, I shot without any flash, only natural light, indoor and outdoor. Now, I will start bringing in flash. My first project this year will be portraits with only one flash. Its exciting! :-)

It's great to start with just one strobe. I often see photographers get into flash and buy 2-3 strobes… while most of them could actually get away with just one in most situations. Once you start to understand natural light and how to add in one strobe, it's awesome to have a second strobe/head for more variety and more complex setups :) Can't wait to see your projects Christian ;)

Great shot! I'm still learning a bit of everything. You have me inspired man!
