Milky Way Eastern Sierra

Around an hour after taking this photo, the sound of large paws slamming against the rocky hillside shot adrenaline through my body, quickly waking me from being half asleep. The sound of rocks being cracked away came closer to my tent, closer, and finally, it was here. Right next to me, in my skinny one person tent, as the wind slapped away at my wind cover and against my back. My tripod set right outside my tent and I heard it nosing it, trying to figure out what my weird contraption was. Then, as soon as it arrived, it was gone and I went back to sleep.

F/1.0? Cool!

Oops! It was actually f/2.0. I have no idea why it showed 1.0. Oh well. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

I am so enthralled by this photo. Which lakes are these?

Beautiful capture!
