Dartmoor tree

This was taken a while ago. Instinctively, I wanted to make a feature of the tree in the foreground set against the typical rolling moorland of Dartmoor. As a composition I think it works pretty well with the rock and root structure rooting the tree in the earth.

It would have been easy to over-exaggerate certain colours in post processing, however I may have slightly underdone it. The hill and sky look a little washed out.

Revisiting this location at dawn/sunset in each season would create a more dramatic image suggesting a different story each time ...
