Shafts of light

This image was captured in the picturesque little town of Bradford-upon-Avon during a bright late September day. I originally liked the leading line of the bridge, the medieval building in the background and the still water with the occasional reed pushing through. On balance I decided not to remove the parking sign.

It wasn't until I was mid-processing that I noticed the four shafts of sun bursting through from the clouds. While I think this was as much an aberration in the lens as the atmospheric conditions, I enhanced them as much as possible and the largest beam appears to manifest the colours of the rainbow. I think the finished result emulates my initial vision for this image pretty well.

The high ISO 2500 has caused the graininess :-(
