I'm a serious amateur who after 50 years experience is continually rediscovering the joys, delights and challenges of the art of photography. During 2019 I've been reinventing myself: completing different monthly projects, and revisiting the basics of the ISO/shutter speed/Fstop balance, attempting to use this more creatively. I've designed and launched my own website, opened an Instagram account and plan to open a forum group in Facebook for like-minded people in 2020.

I've joined Fstoppers to seek inspiration from its contributors, stimulate my accountability by posting my highest quality work, and contribute in my own way by responsibly commenting on work that is similar to my higher aspirations.

While technical aptitude is important, I'm highly motivated in reflecting on and telling my story - expressing the deeper me through my images, and hopefully by doing so connecting with others in some way. In my sixth decade, I'm humbly realising the importance of personal reflection and how "practice makes perfect", "less is more" and most importantly, the links between "Body, Mind, Soul and Spirit".

I'm seeking to combine my love of nature and the outdoors with the inner me by finding ways to express this through my newly-found creativity. I am my harshest critic: I also value constructive comment and advice from others. I trust you enjoy what I post. I hope my images might move you in some way.
