Solitude

I took this photograph at the entrance to the Sanctuary at Atotonilco, Guanajuato, Mexico. The Sanctuary is a church complex constructed in the mid 1700s. The ceilings of the church are ornately painted with scenes from the Bible. It is termed "The Sistine Chapel of the West" and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the near by town of San Miguel de Allende. Oh, Atotonilco is about the size of a very small postage stamp.
