I lived in San Miguel de Allende in central Mexico for 8-years. The town was founded in 1534 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Not much has changed in the past 400 years. All of the buildings in the center of town were constructed in the 17th and 18th centuries while the streets are narrow, paved with cobblestone, and more suitable for horses and burros than for vehicles. I was driving through town and encountered this traffic delay that personifies the character of San Miguel de Allende..
