Mexican Vermillion Flycatcher

We lived in the high mountains of central Mexico. The field next to our house was studded with short thorn trees. Flycatchers would perch on a top branch of a tree, spring up into the air 15 feet or more, snag a flying insect on the wing, then return to their perch. On most mornings I would see a dozen or so Flycatchers popping up into the air from the trees like a giant version of a Wack-A-Mole toy.
