Sun Flower

Is it always about grand vistas, golden hour or dramatic sceneries? No, not always. Sometimes it's the intimate or abstract shot, shapes or colors. A single subject, a combination or even rivalry of two subjects can stand out.

This shot of a lavender blossom may transport intimate solitude. In fact, I stood among a 20 other photographers and instagrammers. This is one the rare lavender fields in Germany. Climate change leads to a warmer and drier mediterranean weather and professional cultivation of lavender is about to establish further.

Mid of June was two or three weeks too early to shoot the lavender fields. Most of the blossoms didn't open yet so it was an "alternative shot".
