The One That Got Away

While hunting sardines, common dolphins single out one fish from the school and chase it against the surface of the water, a natural barrier from escape. Common dolphins will rotate upside down in order to keep their melon underwater in order to maximize the amount of time they can focus on the fish using echolocation. Dolphins are excellent hunters, but they aren’t perfect. In this case, the lucky sardine got away!
