Kleptoparasitism is a form of feeding where one species steals prey otherwise caught by another species. Gulls (like the one pictured here) often target diving birds such as pelicans and shearwaters since they are unable to plunge dive themselves. This particularly bold gull reached into the pouch of the pelican to pull the fish out! Birds feeding on a bait ball of fish in the ocean are quite entertaining to watch. Aerial dog fights ensue as one bird tries to steal the catch of another and a scene of chaos erupts as birds dramatically dive and plunge into the fish below.
Aww and hahaha at the same time, aww fish stolen but hahaha cause it looks like the pelican is swinging to slap him.
