Calm, glassy seas act as a window into the hidden underwater world below - the pelagic home of the common dolphin. The Southern California Bight has notoriously good weather and productive near-shore waters. This 600km stretch of coastline is located at a junction where cool and warm water masses meet supporting a thriving ecosystem.
Mere miles from the bustling city of Los Angeles, beyond the busy summer beaches is the tranquility of the sea. It is an escape many Californians take for granted, but it is here that I find solace.
