Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada

While photographing the cove, once in a while, the hard rain would turn into spiting. This image was one of those times.

Presently, there were only two large fishing boats. Talking to the locals there made it sad what this cove had become—a little tourist spot with people grabbing snapshots of this beautiful village. Some buildings became places to buy craft souvenirs or a quick way to grab lunch and perhaps a piece of fudge. In the past, the horseshoe village's circumference used to be packed with fishing boats.
The village lived pretty much on its laurels as a prime fishing village In its past. But, those days, sadly, are gone, at least for now, due to overfishing and other regulations. Fishing is currently highly regulated, meaning only fewer ships can make a living in Peggy's Cove.

I hoped it was a good day for these two boats.
