The entrance hall of the Musée des Confluences.
The Musée des Confluences is a museum in Lyon that wants to convey "global knowledge with a focus on natural sciences". The new building was opened on December 21, 2014. The building was designed by the Viennese architects Coop Himmelb (l) au, which had been enforced in an architectural competition in February 2001 against strong competition, including Steven Holl.

My OCD gives me uneasy feeling it's all leaning left :D
At 24mm I couldn't completely compensate for the falling lines because I would have had to crop the image too much, so I compromised on this subject. I straightened it as much as possible so that I had to crop as little as possible. In my opinion, however, the ambience of the entrance hall is still very appealing.

I cannot imagine the construction challenges that were overcome to finish this.
Is that front section a total cantilever, or is there some overhead structural support not seen from this perspective?
