Certainly, with any portrait, but especially with couples, you want to promote natural interaction that translates to organic images, but that does not mean you should never use pre-conceived poses. In particular, they can give you the assurance that you will get shots that your clients will be satisfied with, then take the remaining time to explore your creativity and allow the couple to interact with each other in a more natural fashion.
