Sherwood Forest

I've been working on broadening my toolbox when shooting some of the more 'routine' things, lately. This shot is actually of a photographer friend of mine and her husband, who needed some unique images for their new home. She does an absolute fantastic job with her work so I definitely had to step up my game for this. She's a natural with posing, so that was a big help.
From the RAW file, I did some broad strokes in Lightroom; color correction, contrast, curves adjustment, etc. Moving over to Photoshop, I did some skin retouching, isolated shadow/highlight work, spot saturation touches, added a glow from the 'sky', along with some light rays peeking through the canopy above. I love the mood everything works together to set. I thought about changing her dress color from blue, but in the end, I liked the play the blue has with the complimentary orange of the image.
