Coming to you from Stefan Malloch, this great first look video checks out the new Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VXD lens. At $1,399, the lens is relatively affordable as far as supertelephoto zoom lenses go, and it comes with a variety of useful features, including:

  • Vibration Compensation with three separate modes: standard, panning, and framing priority
  • eXtra Low Dispersion, Low Dispersion, and Glass-Molded Aspherical elements for reduced chromatic aberrations and distortion and increased clarity 
  • Broad-Band Anti-Reflection Coating for reduced flares and ghosting and increased contrast
  • Rotating Arca-type tripod mount
  • Flex Zoom Lock mechanism
  • 75° rotation zoom ring for fast focal length changes
  • Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive linear autofocus motor for fast and quiet performance suitable for both photo and video work with full-time manual override, compatible with Direct Manual Focus function and Eye AF
  • Moisture-resistant construction with fluorine coating on front element to resist dust, dirt, and fingerprints
  • Rounded seven-blade diaphragm for smoother bokeh
