How Does the Fujifilm GFX 50S Medium Format Mirrorless Camera Hold Up in 2022?

Fujifilm's GFX line of medium format mirrorless cameras turned the paradigm of large-sensor cameras on its head by making them highly competitive on price, so much so that they became viable alternatives to upper-level full frame options. The first of them was the GFX 50S, and though the line has evolved since, it remains a viable option and might just be one of the best deals in photography right now.

Coming to you from Benj Haisch, this awesome video review takes a look at the Fujifilm GFX 50S medium format mirrorless camera and how it holds up in 2022. While the current model is the GFX 50S II, it is worth noting that both iterations actually share the same sensor, and if that is what you are after, you can pick up a used copy of the first version for a little over $2,000, making it quite a good deal. In addition to a 50-megapixel medium format sensor, you also get top-notch dynamic range and Fuji's highly respected colors. If you are someone like a landscape or portrait photographer, you might appreciate the medium format sensor as a nice alternative to full frame. Check out the video above for Haisch's full thoughts.

This is a camera I have longed for since it out. I really love the look and the IQ. KEH has been my go-to store for decades, but lately I have become less impressed with them. Still, I keep going back to them. Thank you for reigniting my flame for this camera. Time to open up the KEH website now.
