A Review of the Affordable Nikon Z30 Mirrorless Camera

As far as modern mirrorless cameras go, Nikon's Z30 is one of the most affordable, priced at just $706, or just a bit more with one or two lenses. So, what do you get at that price point? This excellent video review takes a look at the camera and the sort of performance and image quality you can expect from it in practice.

  • 4K video at up to 30 fps
  • Full HD video at up to 120 fps
  • Extended recording time of up to 2 hours and 15 minutes
  • Live streaming in Full HD at up to 60 fps or 4K at up to 30 fps
  • Can be powered via USB-C port for extended filming and streaming
  • In-camera time-lapse
  • 3-inch 1.04-million-dot free-angle LCD screen
  • Specially designed touchscreen controls for vlogging 
  • Stereo microphone
  • 3.5mm external mic port
  • e-VR digital image stabilization
  • Hybrid autofocus system with face and eye tracking
  • Dog, cat, and people recognition
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with wireless remote camera control
  • "?" button for quick explanations of all camera functions and settings
